LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP DAY
During last September my students and I celebrated the LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP DAY, but what is that? In the United States, some countries of Latin America and Europe people celebrate SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY by giving love, chocolates and flowers to their couple, friends or family; the celebration takes place on February 14th. In Colombia we do not celebrate that, we celebrate Love and Friendship day the second Saturday of September. This day people gather in parties, go out to discos, go to restaurants, give presents to each other etc., This is a very important day for Colombians and an excellent ocassion to express all the love and affectio n we feel for the those around us....
